Sophie was born outside as a feral kitten. She was trapped and brought indoors where her guardian cared for her for 7 years. While she was never very trusting of people, she was happy and safe. When her guardian had to move and could not take Sophie along, she contacted Good Mews. When we heard Sophie’s story, we knew we had to help her. If we did not take her, who knows what would have happened to her. Not many people are willing to accept a shy, scared, senior cat.
Right now Sophie is very scared and confused. Our volunteers are planning to work with her and hopefully she will learn to trust, and even love, humans. We only want her to be happy and we are hoping one day she will understand this.
Sophie would love to have another quiet home where she can just be herself. She will need a very patient adopter that will let her adjust to her new life at her own pace. If you are willing to open your heart and home to a sweet, lonely girl, please consider Sophie.
