Skittles and Fig Newton were born outside to a feral mom. A kind volunteer was feeding them, then slowly brought the pair onto her screened-in porch where they would be safe. They were eventually moved to a spare bedroom while they waited for space to become available at Good Mews.
Fig Newton came around quickly once he was safely indoors. While the resident cats napped, Fig Newton was allowed to explore the house, which he loved, since he is such a curious guy. He also turned into a big love-bug where he enjoyed being petted, held, and cuddled.
Skittles took a while to get up her courage to explore and once she did, she would roam around for brief periods of time, but was pretty timid. After several months, her foster mom was allowed to gently pet her. She wouldn’t run, but was stiff and tense. She is a very gentle, tender girl, just shy and timid. Her foster mom feels with time, she will evolve into a more relaxed, sweet girl. She just needs a patient adopter willing to her give time.
Though Skittles and Fig Newton have very different personalities, they have never been separated and are very bonded. They love to play together and at night they cuddle up together to sleep.
They are a great pair of cats and are hoping to find their forever home soon. A quiet home would be best for them.
