Rinnah came to Good Mews when she was just a little kitten. She was born under someone’s front porch and she and her siblings went into foster care until they were ready for adoption. She was quickly adopted, but it just didn’t work out with her family, so she was returned to Good Mews. Rinnah was a little upset upon her return, and pretty much stayed to herself in the back corner of the shelter, high on a cat tree. She didn’t show well on adoption days, so she was overlooked. Once we moved to our current shelter, she started to feel more confident and would sit high on a cat tree beside the door to the main shelter. We guess Rinnah likes to be up high, so she can watch what is going on around her!
Rinnah was returned in 2011 and seven years is way too long to wait for a forever home. She is a wonderful cat that loves chin scratches. She is pretty vocal so we think that is why she is overlooked. While petting her, she will start her chattering and some people mistake that for her not wanting to be bothered. But really, she means the complete opposite! She adores attention and just can’t get enough of it. And if you give her some soft food, she will be your best friend!
Despite being almost 8 years old, she is still active and loves playing with her toys, and then snuggling up with them on her perch. She is also out and about when someone pulls out the laser pointer. During yoga, she walks around, greeting everyone.
Rinnah has waited way too long for her forever home, so she will be our featured cat in January in hopes that someone will finally notice her and fall in love with her chatty ways and sweet personality. Rinnah would do very well as a single cat and she would also do OK with one or two other laid-back, friendly kitties.
So please come by and meet Rinnah if you are looking for a sweet girl to join your family.
