Lucy and Linus are a sweet pair of cats that are hoping someone will give them a chance a happy new life. They came to Good Mews several years ago and after being at the shelter a couple of years, someone adopted them. They lived a quiet life, then when their guardian was moving out of state, she felt it best not to bring them along. They are extremely shy cats that she really was unable to pet. But they were happy just being in a safe, quiet home together.
When they came back to Good Mews, they were very upset because their peaceful life was turned upside down. Now they have to adjust to the activities at the shelter and all of the new people. Hopefully being exposed to so many people will help them learn that we aren’t so bad; all we want to do is love them.
Lucy and Linus are going to need an extremely patient adopter that will be willing to work with them. Having them just live in a home is not enough for them. They need to learn to trust and accept affection. So it could be a challenge, but hopefully someone will be up for it.
One way to maybe speed up the process of gaining their trust is feeding them wet food. It’s one of their favorite things in the world and will coo when you offer it to them.
They are a wonderful pair that truly love each other and it is the sweetest thing. Lucy is more dependent on Linus and will freeze up when he is not around to comfort her. Hopefully someone will give this pair another chance at a forever home.
