Wow, does Jackie have a story! Earlier this year we were contacted by a nice lady to see if we could take a pregnant cat. We set up a foster home for her and when the lady brought Jackie in, our shelter staff could tell Jackie had recently had her babies. We didn’t want to leave the babies alone to starve, so the shelter manager took Jackie back to where she was, in hopes that Jackie would show her where the babies were. But Jackie was more interested in jumping into the manager’s car then showing her where the babies were. Jackie wanted to be rescued. So it was decided that the lady would keep an eye out for the babies and once found, bring the whole family back to Good Mews.
Well, the shelter manager did not hear back from the lady, and was really sad she was unable to help her. A few months went by and then the lady showed up at the shelter with Jackie again. This time she had one baby with her. Jackie had shown back up at the lady’s house with her one baby. We were so happy to see Jackie again and she was finally where she wanted to be! We soon found Jackie was pregnant again! So this time she did go to foster and had one little baby. She then took in two motherless kittens and took great care of her family.
Now Jackie is spayed and her baby-making days are over! She is now ready to find the family she has been dreaming about! She is done taking care of others and is ready for someone to baby her! She is a super affectionate, outgoing girl. She loves to be held and will crawl in an empty lap as soon as she sees one. She gets along with other cats and may do well with dogs.
She will make a wonderful companion so come by and meet Jackie soon!
