Frankie was trapped at a local dentist office a few years ago. Instead of releasing him after he was neutered, his rescuer fostered him until space was available at Good Mews. While living with her, Frankie was a loving, sweet boy. He loved sleeping with her a night and got a lot of attention.
Once space was available, he came to the shelter. Frankie was shy, but he did interact with people and the other kitties. He bonded with one of the cats and we were so happy when they were adopted together.
But sadly, their happy ending did not last. A few years later the cat he was adopted with was returned due to litter box issues, which turned out to be medical. We wish Frankie would have been returned as well, because he missed his buddy and became even more shy. There was a lot going on in the home that stressed him out and he started to hide a lot and then started going outside the box. It was then decided to return him as well. Unfortunately, his best buddy was adopted a few weeks before!
Now that Frankie is back, we hope he will learn to relax again and find a new friend. He is a great boy and deserves a good life. He would probably do best in a quiet home with someone that will be OK with him being shy. Once he knows he is loved, he will feel more confident. Frankie also needs to be adopted into a home where another cat friendly feline lives so he can have a new best buddy.
