Dunkin is one lucky boy. He may not think so right now, but with time, he will realize that coming to Good Mews is the best thing that has happened to him.
Dunkin was living outside, fending for himself. With all the dangers outside, he is lucky to be alive. When a kind couple was trying to trap a dog that was running loose in their neighborhood, they trapped Dunkin instead. They reached out to us to see if we could take him in and help him find a family.
Dunkin obviously has not been exposed to people and human affection much in his life, so he is having a hard time believing that we love him and want to make him happy. He is very shy and scared but when you give him head scratches, he does relax and seems to like it. He is just going to need some time to adjust to his new life and soon he will realize people aren’t so scary after all. Once he starts to enjoy all the love we are going to shower him with, we bet he will start giving us tons of love right back.
Dunkin will need a very patient adopter, willing to work with him and give him the time he needs to adjust to his new life. Once he does, he will be a great buddy. He just needs someone to give him that chance.
