Duke is such an adorable, sweet guy, you can’t help but to instantly fall in love with him! He loves meeting people and loves it even more when they hold him and cuddle him like a baby. He has such an irresistible personality, you are instantly drawn to him. He is super social and loves traveling around the shelter, meeting new people and cats. He especially loves kids and when they come to read to him, he hops right into their lap’s and listens to their stories. We think it’s pretty safe to say Duke is a huge lap cat!
Duke and his family were relinquished to a veterinary clinic and his family found new homes quickly. When the vet discovered that he had abnormal genitalia, they asked Good Mews if we could help find him the perfect home. Duke is likely a hermaphrodite, meaning he has a combination of both male and female genitalia. He has been sterilized as if it was a normal neuter. Because of this, he may be at risk for an occasional urinary tract infection. Duke should not have a problem living a totally normal life. His adopters just need to be aware of any common symptoms and are proactive about caring for them if they arise. Whoever is interested in learning more about him, our staff or volunteers would be happy to provide more information.
This lap-loving guy deserves a loving, committed family and whoever adopts him will be very lucky, as he is such a sweetheart with a ton of love to give!
