Sweet Clayton was in a loving home for 6 years when his mom because ill and could no longer care for him. It broke her heart to surrender him to us, but she wanted him to get the care he deserved because she could no longer give that to him. Clayton was very anxious the first few days, wondering when his mom was coming back for him. Then one day he realized she wasn’t. He was very quiet and confused and wondered what he did wrong. We sat down with him and told him he was a very good boy; that he need absolutely nothing wrong. Because he was such a good boy and his mom loved him very much, she wanted to give him a second chance at a happy home. Clayton is still sad he doesn’t have his mom anymore, but he is starting to warm up to the idea of a new mom or dad. And because he is such a loving boy, his new family will love him as much as his first one.
Because Clayton has only known one person and one home his whole life, he may act a little shy in a new environment. But once he feels safe and secure, his loving personality will emerge. His previous mom said he loved to talk and would often tell her how much he loved her. Hopefully he will have a new family soon so he can tell them how much he loves them too.
