Did you ever know someone who didn't make a good first impression but, once you got to know them, you really liked them? That's Cherry. Cherry is not a fan of change and tends to greet new things with growls. But give her some time to settle in and she's a very nice girl.
Cherry and her 3 siblings were surrendered to a county animal control after living with their family for 6 years. Due to reasons beyond their control, the family could no longer care for them. They were understandably sad to go from a loving home to sitting in a cage in a noisy shelter. Thankfully, Good Mews had space to rescue all 4 cats so they could have a second chance at a forever home. Cherry took the transition harder than her siblings and was sent to a foster home to give her some time to adjust.
Once Cherry settled into her foster home she turned on the charm. She has a purr that sounds like part pigeon, part motorboat and uses it frequently. She's a super smart girl who is adept at opening cabinet and closet doors and she will use those skills if she wants some alone time. Cherry also loves to play with wand and feather toys.
Cherry will need a patient adopter who will give her time to adjust but she is worth the effort.
