Basia, a beautiful chocolate brown, green-eyed girl somehow found herself at an over-crowded animal control. She wasn’t in good health, so the shelter contacted us to see if we could take her in and get her the medical care she needed so she could find a forever home.
Once we laid eyes on Basia, we knew she would be a very special kitty. She quickly became a shelter favorite with her sweet, quiet, mellow personality and loving nature. Even though she is a senior kitty, she loves toys and walks around the shelter with them in her mouth.
Basia was at Good Mews for over a year before she was finally adopted. Unfortunately, after a few months, she started having litterbox issues. Nothing medically wrong could be found, so the family decided to return Basia to us. At first she was very upset that she had lost her home, but once she saw all the familiar faces that loved her, she felt a lot better. But that doesn’t mean Basia still doesn’t want a forever home. We don’t know if the litterbox issues were caused by some sort of stress in the home, but her future family needs to be willing to work with her if any issues were to arise.
Basia is a wonderful girl that just wants a home where she will get lots of love and a lap to sit in.
