Good Mews assists with hoarding situation

On October 1st, Good Mews was called in to assist the Dunwoody Police Department and Dekalb County Animal Cruelty Unit as they served a search warrant on an animal hoarder. More than 70 cats were found living in deplorable conditions. Good Mews was able to rescue 34 of the cats, who are now living in our shelter and in our foster homes. All of the cats have been examined, treated for fleas, de-wormed and vaccinated. Some are being treated for upper respiratory infections, ringworm and other minor illnesses. We have at least one pregnant cat, now awaiting babies in a foster home. Many of the cats need to be spayed and neutered. We have been humbled and overwhelmed by the outpouring of concern and generosity from our volunteers, supporters and the community. The cats are sweet and loving and deserving of good homes, and will be available for adoption soon. If you’d like to donate to help us give these cats, and all of the cats in our care, a better life, here are the options: Cash Donations or Amazon wish list.
Thank you!
