Stephan

Francois and Stephan were abandoned one chilly night, left to sit in their carriers, hoping someone would find them. Luckily someone did, and they were brought to safety at Good Mews. Francois and Stephan are seniors and to be abandoned like that is just heartbreaking. They were obviously in a home most, if not all, of their lives and now they are a little terrified of their new surroundings.

Right now Francois is the more frightened of the two, and wants nothing to do with us.  Stephan is starting to adjust and while he doesn’t ask for attention, if you pet him, you can hear him softly purr and he will start to make biscuits.

The boys will need some time to learn to trust again and we have a lot of volunteers working with them, to help them realize they are now safe and nobody is going to hurt them again.

Because they are seniors, they would do so much better in a loving home. Not many people rush to the shelter to adopt a scared, shy, senior cat. It is going to take a very special person with a big heart to open their home to them. I think once they are in a quiet environment, they will feel a lot better. Who knows what kind of cat is in there, just waiting to emerge?

Francois and Stephan are very bonded and rely on each other, so they must be adopted together.
