Ruca

Good_Mews

Ruca and several other cats were rescued from a situation that started off with good intentions, but then quickly got out of hand. Someone rescued cats that were about to be euthanized at animal control but then it got to be way too many cats for one person to care for. The situation was brought to our attention and with the help of other rescues, all of the cats were placed. We don’t know the history of these cats. Most probably had a home at some point but somehow found their way to animal control.

Ruca is a precious girl that loves to be petted and brushed. She is outgoing and loves people, but also likes to spend time alone, napping and dreaming. She loves it when she gets a “lion-cut” because it makes her feel so good. She prances around the shelter, showing off her cute little slippers.  You can’t help but fall in love with this little girl with the beautiful amber eyes.

Ruca has been adopted from Good Mews twice and returned both times. In her first home she did not get along with the other cat and was going outside the box. The family did try Cat Attract litter, and it seemed to help, but they still decided to return her.

Ruca was quickly adopted into a home as a single cat but after a couple weeks in her new home, she started going outside the box. She was returned again.

Ruca really loves being in a home. She is outgoing and playful and her adopters really loved her, but just could not handle the litterbox issues. The next person that adopters her is going to have to understand that she has the potential to go outside the box and if she does, they must be willing to work with her and try to find a solution, or accept that that is the way Ruca is. We do not want Ruca to go to a third home, only to be returned again. It breaks Ruca’s heart each time she loses a home. So if you think you are the right person for Ruca, come by and meet her!
