When Pouncey and her sisters, Pearl and Cinnamon were 9 months old, they were rescued from living outside. Their mom knew they would not last long fending for themselves, so she brought them inside and provided them a safe, loving home. Shortly after, she fell ill and was unable to socialize them as well as she had hoped, so all three are pretty shy. But they were happy and well-cared for, and that was all that mattered. Sadly, 4 years later, their mom passed away and they needed a safe place to go.
Their mom was friends with a volunteer, so once space was available, they came to Good Mews. Pouncey is a very sweet girl and she is the shyest of the three sisters. She feels more secure when she is with her sister, Cinnamon. Because of this, Pouncey and Cinnamon must stay together. Pouncey will need a patient adopter willing to give her the time she needs to adjust to her new home and will have the commitment to work with her. Pouncey deserves to be happy and if she were more secure, she would be much more relaxed. Shy cats have a harder time finding homes than our more social, active cats. But there are people out there that love these sweet babies and do all they can to make them happy and feel loved. Hopefully there is someone out there willing to give Pouncey and Cinnamon a chance at another forever home.
