Lemon Meringue is a super sweet, adorable little girl. She was with another rescue in South Georgia that did not have a lot of cat adoptions. They reached out to Good Mews to see if they could transfer some cats to us, since they would have a better chance at finding a forever home.
Lemon can be a little shy in new environments, but once she warms up, she is an active, playful, loving cat. She loves watching the birds and squirrels outside and finding warm sunny spots to curl up for a nap.
Because Lemon is so charming, a lot of people fall in love with her and want to adopt her. Lemon has been adopted from Good Mews twice, to only be returned due to litterbox issues She was with the first family for about 2 weeks before she was returned. She was quickly adopted again and stayed for a few months, but sadly the family decided it was not something they could deal with anymore. Lemon would sometimes defecate outside the box and a few times, urinate outside the box. She has been checked out medically and everything is fine. We cannot pinpoint the reason for this, so she will require a patient adopter that will understand that this could happen again. And if it does, they will need to be willing to work with Lemon to try to resolve any issues that arise. Lemon is a great cat that would really love a home with someone that can work with her. It makes Lemon sad every time she is returned so her 3rd home will hopefully be willing to commit to her.
