Holly is a sweet senior lady that has had a rough few weeks. She had a home but for reasons unknown to us, she was surrendered to a small county animal control. We don’t know if her guardian passed away or was unable to keep her any longer. Whatever the reason, Holly lost her home and she was heartbroken. The staff at the animal control were worried about her so they reached out to us to see if we could help. Thankfully, we had the space so we agreed to take Holly in and get her the medical treatment she needed and then find her a new loving home.
Holly was a bit anemic when she came to us and her mouth was very infected. The vet also detected a heart murmur. She had a much-needed dental and her infected teeth removed and we can tell she is feeling a lot better! She also had an echocardiogram and she has a slight heart murmur and will need a recheck in a year. So all in all, Holly is doing very well.
Holly is also cheering up because she is getting a lot of love and attention from the volunteers. She loves people and will cuddle up with everyone she meets. She especially loves to be held and doted on. Holly would really love a second chance at a forever home. She is a great cat and will make someone very happy.
